PVDF
2F (2 vinylidene) PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride)
■ Polyvinylidene fluoride
■ The best mechanical strength of fluorine resins
Overview
As 2F (PVDF) has good mechanical and electrical properties along with excellent chemical resistance, which is the merit of fluoride resins, it is widely used in various industrial fields including chemical, electronic, pharmaceutical, food, paper, etc. In comparison with other fluorine resins, 2F (PVDF) is a little behind in heat resistance. On the other hand, however, due to its high crystallinity, it has the most outstanding mechanical strength among fluorinated resins.
Features
① Excellent mechanical strength (best of fluorine resins, excellent stiffness and creep resistance)
② Exceptional anti-chemical properties (many inorganic acids, some alkalis, aliphatic / aromatic hydrocarbons, organic acids, alcohols, etc.)
③ Continuous operating temperature of 150℃ (can be used under temperatures (in air) up to 150℃)
④ Excellent food hygiene (FDA = conforms to U.S. standards)
⑤ UL Standard 94 V-0 (excellent incombustibility and low smokability)
⑥ Weather resistance (excellent UV resistance)
Uses
Parts related to electronic equipment, semiconductor, liquid crystal (valve or cap of washing unit), chemical industry (lining, bolt, filter housing), food industry (food processing machinery parts)
Parts related to industrial machines (roller, guide rail, washer), steel, metal (roll, liner, acid-cleansing line, plating areas), medical equipments
